Here’s how to install and activate the Custom Text Field plugin on Swipecart.
- On your Swipecart dashboard, click on “Plugins” in the left menu.
- You’ll see a list of “Your Active Plugins” and “All Plugins”. The Custom Text Field plugin is in the list of “All Plugins”.
- Click on Form Builder to go to its plugin details page.
- On the Custom Text Field plugin detail page, you have a brief introduction to the plugin in the “Detail” tab.
- Click on the “Install” button. The Custom Text Field plugin is now installed on your Swipecart app.
- Select the “Live Forms” tab. In this, click on the “Create New Form” icon to create a new form for any page of your app.
💡 Note: You can access any already created forms from this tab.
- A new blank form opens in the “Form Editor”. Give a name to your form by entering it in the “Form Name” text box.
- You have meta field types to add to your form. Select any to edit the contents inside it.

- Text Box
- Select the input format of the field, and enter the label and placeholder text.
- Enable the “Make this field required” toggle button if you want users to fill this box before submitting the form.
- Click on “Add” to add this text box inside the form.
- Dropdown
- Select the field type. Enter the title, help, and placeholder text. Add dropdown list values.
- Again, enable the “Make this field required” toggle button if you want users to select a value from the drop-down list before submitting the form.
- Click on “Add” to add this dropdown box inside the form.
- Check Box
- Enter the label and help text. Select the position of the checkbox in the form (vertical or horizontal). Enter the field options.
- You can add, edit, or delete the checkboxes.
- Enable the “Make this field required” toggle button if you want users to check values from the check box before they submit the form.
- Click on “Add” to add this check box inside the form.
- Radio Select
- Enter the label and help text. Select the position of the radio button in the form (horizontal or vertical). Enter the field values.
- Enable the “Make this field required” toggle button if you want users to compulsorily check any radio button option before they submit the form.
- Click on “Add” to add this radio select field inside the form.
- Toggle Button
- Enter the label and help text. You can opt to keep the toggle button in On position when the form uploads.
- Click on “Add” to add it to the form.
- Calendar- Enter the label and help text. Select the date format.
- Set any default date if required.
- Enable the “Make this field required” toggle button if you want users to compulsorily select a date before they submit the form.
- Uploader
- Select the upload type- a single image, multiple images, videos, or documents. Enter the label, help, and placeholder text.
- Enable the “Make this field required” toggle button if you want users to compulsorily upload file/files before they submit the form.
- Color Picker
- Enter the label and help text. Click on “Add” to add this color picker to the form.
- Click on “Save” when you are done designing your form.
- In the next step, select the products page, collection categories, and tags where you want the form to be seen.
- Click on “Publish” to publish the pages on the selected products and categories pages on your Swipecart app.
- You can preview it on the Swipecart preview app.
