  • How To Segment The Target Audience On Swipecart

    Segment your target audiences on your Swipecart app to ensure success in your marketing efforts.

    • The days of sending out generic communications to each consumer are gone. Customers nowadays demand tailored marketing efforts that give relevant information - and the same applies to the content you make for your business's app.
    • To create personalized communications for app users, you must divide your audience into several segments or groups.

    What is the importance of audience segmentation?

    • App user segmentation increases engagement, conversion rates, & revenue.

    How to segment the target audience on Swipecart?

    • On your Swipecart dashboard, click on the “Audience Segments” section appearing in the left panel. There are two ways by which you can create audience segments.

    Method 1: By creating a new audience segment.

    • Click on “Create Segment” at the top-right corner to open a Create Audience Segment page.
    • Click on the Events drop-down list. Here, select the criteria for segmenting the audience. The possible parameters from which you can select are-

    All app visitors

    • Target all app visitors. In the Retention box, enter the number of days from which you want to pull out the audience.
    • For instance, if you want all app visitors from the last 15 days, enter the number 15. Click on “Exclude People” to exclude any specific audience.

    Customers who visited specific products or collections

    • Target customers who have visited a specific product or collection.
    • By clicking on the option you can select the product or the collection and further refine by selecting the frequency they visited and the time spent.

    • Or you can refine it by including and excluding audience segments.

    Visitors by time spent

    • Refine the audience by the time spent on the app.
    • Select the type of time range in value or percentage and the selected number of days. You can further include and exclude audience segments.

    Frequency

    • By clicking on this option you can refine the audience by their recurring frequency on the app.
    • You can select the frequency in value or percentage.
    • Refine it further by including and excluding specific audience segments.

    User segment

    • In this option, you can segment the audience using segments like new users, abandoned carts, an audience with high purchase intent, new user audience, cart, latest collections, or all users.
    • Refine it further by including and excluding specific audience segments.

    Customers who have added products or collections to the wishlist

    • Target customers who have added specific products or collections to their wishlist.
    • Select single/multiple products/collections and further refine them by excluding and including specific audience segments.

    Customers who have purchased products or collections

    • Segment audience who have purchased products or collections.
    • Select single/multiple products/collections and refine them further by excluding or including specific audience segments.

    Customers who have placed an order

    • Create an audience segment for customers who have placed an order.
    • Refine it further by excluding or including specific audience segments.

    Customers adding to cart but not checking out

    • Create an audience segment for customers who have been added to the cart but not checked out.
    • Refine it further by excluding or including specific audience segments.

    Customers who have not opened the app

    • Create an audience segment for customers who have not opened the app.
    • Type in the retention period i,e., the number of days since they haven’t opened the app.
    • Refine it further by including or excluding specific audience segments.

    • Now, give a name for the audience segment you created in the “Audience Name” text box.

    • Write a description for the segment you have created in the “Description” box.
    • Click on “Create”.

    • A new audience segment is now created.
    • It gets added to the audience segment list accessible in the Audience Segments section.

    Method 2: By importing the CSV file

    • In the Audience Segments section, click on “Import” in the top-right corner.

    • In the opened popup, type in the Audience Name and write a Description for the same.

    • Click on “Upload CSV file”.
    • A popup window opens. Open and upload a CSV file from your system.

    • Click on “Submit”. A new audience is now created.

    • It gets added to the audience segment list accessible in the Audience Segments section.
    • That’s it. You have now successfully segmented your target audience on Swipecart.
