The Paragraph Element on Dotcom enables you to add paragraphs to any part of the website using an interactive drag-and-drop editor. Bid adieu to complex coding on every aspect of your paragraphs as Dotcom lets you alter everything with simple yet powerful functionalities.
The Paragraph element of Dotcom contains three parts. You can customize each part individually.
- Paragraph Element
- Container Row
- Container Column
Steps to add the Paragraph Element on Dotcom
- Navigate to the Dotcom dashboard and go to the desired page on which you want to insert the Paragraph element.
- Drag and drop the Paragraph element from the Elements tab.
- Hover over the element. Here, you can edit the Paragraph element, container row, and container column.
1. How to add/edit the Paragraph element on Dotcom?
- You can add the required content to the Paragraph Element by clicking the Edit icon.
- The Customization panel loads on the right side of the screen. It contains three tabs:
- Content
- Style
- Advanced
Steps to edit the content of the paragraph on Dotcom
- On the Paragraph field, start adding the content to fill the paragraph.
- To create a Drop Cap, enable the toggle.
- Use the Link field to link the paragraph to any other page, file, or external URL. Click the Link icon.
- You can link the paragraph to any of the below options:
- Pages
- External URL
- File Download
- Email - Link the section to an email address.
- Phone Number
- None
- Click Save.
- Now, let’s adjust the Alignment. Select the screen type as desktop, tablet, or mobile from the dropdown and adjust the Alignment to left-aligned, center-aligned, right-aligned, or justified for each screen type.
Steps to customize the style of the paragraph on Dotcom
- Navigate to the Style tab.
- Change the Text Color. Select the Globe icon to view the Global Colors. Select any one of these options. If you want to use any other color, click on the color box and pick a color of your choice from the color picker tool.
- Now, edit the Typography. Select the Globe icon to view the Global Font Style and choose from the given options. If you want to use any other font style, click on the edit icon where you can change the following parameters.
- Font Family
- Font Size (Unit - px, %, em, or rem)
- Font Weight
- Style
- Transform
- Line Height
- Letter Spacing
- Adjust the Text Stroke with the edit icon. Select the unit size as px, %, em, or rem from the size unit dropdown and adjust the size of the Text Stroke. In the Stroke Color, click the Globe icon to choose from the Global Colors. If you want to use any other color, click on the color box and pick a color of your choice from the color picker tool.
- Finally, change the Text Shadow. Select the color box to choose the color from the color picker tool. Followed by that, you can alter the X and Y values and adjust the size using the range slider.
- If you have enabled the Drop Cap toggle, you can see an expandable section - Drop Cap. Here, you can alter the Typography and Text Color of the Drop Cap.

- Hover over the added element and click on the edit icon for the container column. The Customization panel loads on the right side. It contains three tabs:

- Advanced

- Similarly, hover over the Paragraph element. Click Edit of the row container. The Customization panel loads on the right side with three tabs.
