  • How to use the Logo element on Dotcom?

    What Is a Logo Element?

    • The Logo Element of Dotcom helps website owners to add logos anywhere on their websites. Add custom logos in the form of images or text to improve your branding identity and expand your online presence.
    • The Logo element of Dotcom contains three parts. You can customize each part individually.
    • Logo Element
    • Container Row
    • Container Column
    • Now, let’s begin adding the Logo element on Dotcom.

    Steps to use the Logo element on Dotcom

    • Go to the Dotcom dashboard and navigate to the desired page on which you want to insert the Logo element.

    • Drag and drop the Logo element from the Elements tab.
    • Hover over the Logo element. Here, you can edit the Logo element, container row, and container column.

    1. How to edit the Logo element on Dotcom?

    • Click the Edit icon to start customizing your Logo element.
    • The Customization panel loads on the right side. It has three tabs:
    • Content
    • Style
    • Advanced

    Steps to edit the content of the Logo element on Dotcom

    • Here, you can add an Image or Text as a logo.
    • On clicking the Image tab, you can upload an image from your computer or select from the list of already uploaded images.

    NOTE: The maximum allowed size for the image is 5MB.

    • Select an image and click Save.
    • Now, let’s adjust the Alignment. Select the screen type as desktop, tablet, or mobile from the dropdown and adjust the Alignment to left-aligned, center-aligned, or right-aligned for each screen type.

    • If you want to add text as a logo instead of an image, switch to the Text tab.
    • Add the content in the Name field.

    • Edit the Typography. Select the Globe icon to view the Global Font Style and select from the standard options.
    • In order to use any other font style, click on the edit icon where you can change the following parameters.
    • Font Family
    • Font Size (Unit - px, %, em, or rem)
    • Font Weight
    • Style
    • Transform
    • Line Height
    • Letter Spacing

    • Next, change the Text Color. Click the Globe icon to choose from the Global Colors. If you want to use any other color, click on the color box and pick a color of your choice from the color picker tool.
    • Adjust the Alignment. Select the screen type as desktop, tablet, or mobile from the dropdown and adjust the Alignment to left-aligned, center-aligned, right-aligned, or justified for each screen type.

    Steps to edit the style of the Logo element on Dotcom

    The style varies depending on the Image or Text.


    1. When Image is selected as Content:

    • Change the Size by first choosing a screen type (Desktop, Tablet, or Mobile) and selecting the size unit as px, %, em, or rem from the dropdown. Set the value using the range slider.
    • Repeat the steps for different screen types.
    • Next, alter the Opacity.

    • Setup the Box Shadow by clicking on the edit icon and choose the effect as Drop shadow or Inner shadow from the dropdown.
    • Select the color from the color picker tool. Fill in the X & Y values, and Blur and Spread.

    2. When Text is selected as Content:

    • Adjust the Opacity using the range slider.

    • Now that the customization of the Content and Style sections are ready, the next step is to customize the Advanced section.

    • Hover over the Logo element and click on the edit icon for the container column. The Customization panel loads on the right side with three tabs.
