Swipecart Analytics is a powerful tool that offers insights into your app's performance across various levels such as usage, customer engagement, marketing, and mobile devices.

By collecting data from your app users, Swipecart tracks behavior to report on the app's performance. The Swipecart Analytics dashboard provides a graphical representation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that are crucial for your business.

Swipecart offers you two types of analytics views.

Numerical & 2D graphical representation of your app’s key metrics.
Globe View or 3D view of your app’s KPIs.

Steps to read Swipecart Analytics

Log in to your Swipecart dashboard and navigate to the Analytics option on the side panel.

Click on Globe View to get a 3D globe view of some of the crucial app metrics for your app.
This view gives you a quick glance at the metrics across various locations. Click here for a detailed tutorial on how to read analytics using the 3D globe view in Swipecart.
If you want a numerical and 2D graphical view of the key app metrics, you can continue to stay on this page.

The first task in Swipecart Analytics is to filter the data in the range of

Last 7 days
Last 30 days
Last month
Last year
Year to date (specific mm/dd/yy to the present date)
Simply click on the first calendar icon and select any of the above options to view app analytics for the specified period.
If you want a comparison between two specific periods, click on the first calendar icon and set the year, month, and date. Click Ok.

For the comparison date, click on Compare: Previous Period to set the date, month, and year and click Ok.

Before delving into your app's key metrics, it's important to keep in mind a few crucial notes.

When selecting a time period like the Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last Month, or Last Year, the comparison is made with the period of the same length directly preceding it.
Clicking on See Report will give you an enlarged view of the specific graph with additional downloadable details on the metrics.
Hovering over the visual comparison graphs will show a card containing the comparison metrics for that specific point in time.
The percentage value in green denotes an increase in the metric, while the percentage value in red indicates a decrease.

App Metrics Overview

The top portion of the Swipecart Analytics gives you a brief summary of the key app metrics.

Here are the data fields you can read-

Total Sales - The number of total sales and % change

This metric shows the total sales your app has generated during the selected time period, along with the percentage change in sales compared to the previous period.
The increase or decrease in the percentage sales value is displayed in green or red color, respectively.

Total Orders - The number of orders and % change

This field displays the total number of orders placed on your app during the selected period, along with the percentage change in orders compared to the previous period.
The percentage increase in total orders is denoted in green color while a decrease is denoted in red.

Abandoned Carts - The number of abandoned carts and % change

This field displays the number of abandoned items in the users’ cart. It offers valuable insights into your user behavior and the opportunity to follow up.
This section in Swipecart Analytics also displays the percentage change in the number of abandoned carts compared to the previous period.
An increase in the percentage of abandoned carts is shown in green color while a decrease is shown in red.

Abandoned Carts Revenue Projection - Abandoned cart potential revenue and % change

The Abandoned Carts Revenue Projection is the revenue that could be earned from items left abandoned in the customers’ cart.
It shows the potential profits you could earn if you resolve the issue of why customers haven’t completed the checkout.
It displays the revenue projection for abandoned carts and the percentage change compared to the previous period.
A green number indicates an increase in revenue projection while a red number indicates a decrease.

Total Visitors - Number of app users and % change

The Total Visitors metric points to the app users over the selected period. It doesn’t indicate the number of app downloads.
It is the number of customers who have opened the app and used it for that particular period.
The percentage change in the number of total visitors compared to the previous period is also shown.
A green percentage denotes an increase in the total number of visitors while a red percentage denotes a decrease.

Graphical representation of app key metrics in Swipecart Analytics

The next portion of Swipecart Analytics gives you a graphical comparative representation of some key app metrics to improve your app marketing strategies. Let’s introduce you to them in detail here.

Total Sales- Total sales comparison graph between two periods

This is a graphical line representation that compares the total sales that occurred on the app during two different periods.
The comparison is shown by two different colored lines, and hovering over the lines will display the breakdown of the total sales at that specific point in time.

Sessions - Total app session comparison graph between two periods

This metric represents the total app sessions during two different periods.
An app session refers to the period of time when a user interacts with your app, and the total is displayed through a line graph.
Hovering over the lines will provide a display card of the session length at that specific point in time.

Returning customer rate - Retuning customers over time comparison graph between two specified periods

This metric shows the percentage of customers that return to your app over time, including new customers who have used your app once or have made a purchase and returned. This KPI indicates how well your business is doing at encouraging repeat purchases.

Swipecart Analytics displays the returning customer rate through two comparison bar chart lines, with one line indicating first-time users and the other indicating returning customers. Hovering over the lines will display the returning customer rate at that specific point in time.

Average order value - The average cart order value of customers’ comparison graph between two specified periods

Average Order Value (AOV) tracks the average amount spent by customers each time they place an order on your app. It is calculated by dividing your store’s total revenue by the number of orders.
Swipecart Analytics displays the average order value comparison between two periods through two different-colored graphical lines. Hovering over the lines will display the average order value at that specific point in time.

Total orders - Total order comparison graph between two specified periods

Total orders are the summation of all the completed purchase transactions in a given period in your store.
Swipecart Analytics displays the total orders for two specified comparison periods through a graphical chart with two different colored lines.
Hovering over the lines will display the total order value on a display card.

Users by devices - A donut chart denoting the % of customers using Android and iOS devices

Users by device represent your customers who log in to your app using their Android or iOS device.
This metric gives you a sense of the user demographics to see if you need to make improvements in your iOS and Android apps. In your Swipecart Analytics dashboard, it is represented by a donut chart in two colors representing the percentage of Android and iOS device users.
The total number of users and the percentage share of iOS and Android devices used by customers are displayed.

Top sold products - A list of the highest sold products with their number of orders

This gives you a list of top-selling products in your store. The individual product name with the total orders for that product is listed for the specified periods.
Also, the percentage increase or decrease in the sales of these products for the specified period is also given.

Most Engaged Users - The session time of the highest app engagement users

This section gives you a list of users who were active on the app for the given time range. The device name of the user is visible if it is a guest login.
This list displays the names of users who had the highest session time in your app in descending order.
